Sense of Nature introduce the NordicComfort range
As the first company in the world Sense of Nature have established a scientifically research project with the purpose to study how different sleeping environments effect the human circadian rhythm (the awaken state and health). Included is a thorough study of the special NordicComfort® silk fibre’s health impact when used in duvets, pillows and mattress toppers to improve the users sleep and through the improved sleep how the users overall wellbeing and general health situation is equally improved due to the additional amount of REM sleep, reduced dust mite population, microorganisms and nightly overheating.
The research is headed by Adrian Attard Trevisan, a doctoral researcher at Sense of Nature, and is a cooperation between the University of Bedfordshire, Institute for Health Research, Luton NHS Trust and Sense of Nature.
Throughout the project the test subjects will be measured during sleep with an innovative EEG brain scanner that provide first of its kind data from the sleeping brain of the test subjects. The data will show exactly how the sleeping environment affects the human being while sleeping and through the sleep also impact the subject’s awaken state called the circadian rhythm and general health status.
The special NordicComfort® silk fibres and sleeping products have already in other studies shown to be more healthy then down/feathers/man-made fibres and new study will further add to the known benefits able to be obtained when rethinking the way we sleep through use of new NordicComfort® silk fibres and technologies.
For the users of NordicComfort® duvets, pillows and mattress toppers a healthier sleep can be achieved, where sleeping temperature is kept constant within optimal level, the amount of dust mites is reduced together with other microorganisms, and the body’s moisture wicked away faster and better than any other know sleeping option.
The result is less overheating, improved REM sleep, a better circadian rhythm and general health improvements in the awaken state.
